A new job for a woman who lost her job as a personal trainer after the holidays is set to begin in February.
Amber Lang is looking to be the first woman to work at a personal training firm in more than a decade.
“It’s really been a rollercoaster ride,” Ms Lang said.
“My mum lost her position as a trainer, so I was really struggling.”
She said the experience of working for a private company had been difficult.
“You know you’re being paid for your work, and there’s no benefits,” Ms Angleson said.
But, she said, working in a job with a lot of turnover had been a relief.
“If you’ve been working for your employer, then you’ve got to look for other jobs,” she said.
Ms Lang said her experience of being a trainer was positive.
“We really get to learn new skills and we really learn from each other,” she told 7.30.
“The clients are so supportive and they really want to help you out with whatever it is you need to do.”
